In the upcoming weeks and eventually in several other nations, all Android users in India will gradually begin to receive the new Truecaller capabilities that come with Version 12. Along with the new features like Video Caller ID, Call Recording, Ghost Call, and Call Announce, the user interface of the caller ID app has been updated with user-focused improvements.
Rishit Jhunjhunwala, Chief Product Officer and Managing Director, Truecaller India, commented on the release of Truecaller Version 12 by saying: “Truecaller is a critical element of communication for over 22 crore Indians, for both their professional and personal requirements.” Our goal of improving communication motivates us despite the fact that we are humbled by the level of trust individuals have placed in us. We also continue to be user-centered and respond to their needs with creative solutions and products. All of these new features will provide users more freedom and control over their communication while still providing a secure, enjoyable, and rewarding experience. We put a lot of effort into creating a streamlined interface and numerous additional features without increasing complexity. The app is also quicker and more efficient, enabling more efficient functioning and less battery use.
Truecaller Version 12 new features:
The integration of Video Caller ID is among the most important updates to Truecaller. Users can set a brief movie to automatically play when they call friends and family using this feature. Additionally, users have the option of selecting one of the pre-made video templates or being creative by creating their own. Each and every Truecaller Android user will have access to this service.
When the programme is updated to Version 12, you get a brand-new UI. The newly released update now includes the highly anticipated call and SMS separate tabs. Users can now access all of your SMS, Truecaller Group Chats, and individual chats with just one swipe thanks to different tabs.
Another crucial and essential feature that was previously only accessible to Premium members has now been made available to all users: call recording. Now it’s simple to record all calls, incoming and outgoing, regardless of whether the device’s maker has included the feature or not. All recordings are kept locally on the device’s storage, and Truecaller is unable to access them.
Using a file browser or within Truecaller, one can listen to or erase recordings. Additionally, sharing recordings by Bluetooth, email, or other messaging services is simple. After completing the initial setup, users can activate this optional function and begin recording with a simple tap in either Full-Screen or Pop UpCaller ID.
TheGhost call comes next. Another helpful feature can assist you in escaping a difficult circumstance or pulling a light practical joke on friends. With the help of Ghost call, you can configure any name, phone number, and photo to make it seem as though that person is calling you. If you’d like, you can also choose a contact from your phonebook. Additionally, if you wish to get the Ghost call later, you can schedule it. However, only Truecaller Premium and Gold users get access to this service.
Last but not least, if you turn on the Call Announce feature in the app, Truecaller will announce the caller’s ID for incoming phone calls. Only saved contacts and Truecaller-identified numbers on standard and HD voice calls are covered by this. Therefore, you don’t even need to glance at the phone’s screen to see who is calling. You can use it while wearing headphones as well. Subscribers to Gold and Premium plans have access to this feature.
