When it comes to surround sound, there are many audio players on the market, but very few can genuinely produce good resonance. One of them is Sony, and they recently sent us the SonyHT-A9 with SW5 surround sound system for evaluation. This is our assessment of the cutting-edge surround sound system after testing them.
SW5 surround sound system and Sony HT-A9: Design
Let’s be clear: The Sony HT-A9 is a four-speaker surround sound system that is available with or without a subwoofer. Therefore, in our situation, we paid extra to test the SW5 sub-woofer with the wireless speakers. The Sony HT-A9 speakers are standard cylindrical shapes that look stylish when dressed in greyish white right out of the box.
All of the speakers link wirelessly to a little control box that is included with these and connects to the TV using HDMI. A tweeter, an X-balanced woofer, an upfiring speaker, and two microphones are all concealed by mesh on the front of each speaker. Mics are available if you wish to use your voice to operate the television.
You need a power point near the speakers because each speaker requires a wire connection to a power outlet. The speakers can be maintained on a table or fixed on a wall. Each speaker has buttons at the bottom for power, connect, and power.
Performance of the Sony HT-A9 with the SW5 surround sound system
The Sony HT-A9 is incredibly simple to set up, and you may be using it in 5 to 10 minutes. The sound is loud since we put them in a big room. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and the sound is excellent throughout a large space. Only when you are too close to the front speakers does the surround sound degrade. Other than that, the surround sound’s listening space is big.
Sincere to say, these four surround speakers produce excellent bass and thump on their own. The additional SW5 sub-woofer is truly not necessary. But when you include that, the bass gets more punchier and the value of the movie effects increases. On Netflix and YouTube Videos, we watched a tonne of TV series and movies. The experience was excellent because these are also Dolby Atmos adjusted.
You would need to download and add the Sony speakers to Google Home App with a compatible smart speaker in order to use Google Assistant with the Sony speakers. These speakers essentially function as an addition to the smart speaker you currently possess. Overall, we thought these speakers’ content was really good. Voice audio is absolutely clear, and the highs and mids are superb.
The combination might definitely help you if you’re seeking for theater-like surround sound in your living room or small home theatre setup. If you have the money to spend Rs. 1,69,990 plus an additional amount for the sub-woofer, Sony has the greatest option available and is ready to ship, providing you with the best surround sound. After listening to them for more than ten days, we are dreading switching back to the standard TV speaker.
