In India, Samsung has released its Samsung TV Plus app, which offers users of its smart TVs and smartphones free Live TV. With the help of this app, Samsung product owners can view a few specific TV channels for free. This free TV service was already accessible in other parts of the world, including India. The Samsung TV Plus app offers its users free on-demand programming in addition to free live TV channels.
According to Reshma Prasad Virmani, Director of Services at Samsung India, consumers have been spending more time at home over the past year. Their smartphones and televisions have taken over as the main sources of information and entertainment in their lives. We also saw that consumers increasingly place a high value on high-quality media content, which is why we decided to launch Samsung TV Plus in India. We plan to scale TV Plus in the coming months in order to add more channels and programming.
With no additional hardware, such as a set-top box, this service provides customers with free TV content for Samsung Smart televisions. Select live channels and on-demand media will also be funded by advertisements as part of the service. The service is available to everyone who owns a Samsung Smart TV (2017 model and later) and an internet connection, the business claims.
The Samsung TV Plus service will be accessible on the majority of Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets with O OS or higher software versions in addition to Samsung Smart TVs. Only this month will the services be available for Galaxy handsets. Download the Samsung TV Plus app from the Google Play Store or Samsung Galaxy Store to gain access.
You can get the latest news, sports, entertainment, and more with Samsung TV Plus. There are no downloads, sign-ups, credit cards, subscriptions, additional devices, or downloads necessary; it is completely free. It offers a Guide option that lets you view what is currently airing and what is scheduled to air next. By pressing CH on a Samsung Smart Remote or GUIDE on a conventional remote, you can access the Guide.
In addition to the United States, Canada, Korea, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Spain, Australia, Brazil, and Mexico, Samsung TV Plus is now offered in 14 nations thanks to the introduction in India. From 2017 until 2021, Samsung TV Plus will be instantly available in India on all Smart TV models, giving consumers access to 27 local and international channels. The business also says that in order to strengthen the service, more partners will soon be on board.
