The most recent flagship phones from Samsung Discussions among fans of technology and the media have been dominated by the Galaxy S10 series for all the right reasons. At least up till this point. The Samsung Galaxy S10 line of smartphones, however, just underwent a drop test, and none of the three models could withstand it.
The glass front and back panels on the Samsung Galaxy S10 series of smartphones broke after the first drop since they are composed of glass. In fact, the smallest of the lot—a Samsung Galaxy S10e—was determined to be inoperable after the initial drop test. SquareTrade did the test, comparing the Galaxy S10 series with the iPhone Xseries to demonstrate to users how the most recent smartphone from Samsung compares to its rival.
Earlier, a YouTube user by the name of JerryRigEverything had tested the devices for scratch and bend resistance, and they appeared to pass the test.
Yet, they ultimately failed the drop test.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 models were all subjected to a drop test by the SquareTrade YouTube channel, which involved dropping the devices from a height of 6 feet. It was discovered that all three of the smartphones had sustained significant external damage. Samsung Galaxy S10 series would crack if dropped on top of concrete, according to SquareTrade. Because all smartphones have a glass front and back, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and iPhone X models also displayed comparable results.
Like the Samsung S10e, the iPhone X became useless when dropped. The Samsung Galaxy S10e appeared to be the least durable of the three Galaxy S10 series models. The Samsung S10e had a fault and was rendered useless after the plunge. After the drop, the Samsung Galaxy S10e’s camera and LED flash were rendered useless.
Nonetheless, despite the fact that it too cracked when dropped, the Samsung Galaxy S10 did the best and handled the drop admirably. In contrast to the Galaxy S10e, the Samsung Galaxy S10 suffered just little external damage and continued to work and be used. SquareTrade found that the Samsung Galaxy S10 outperformed the iPhone XS Max in terms of durability and usage following the drop.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 easily passed the bend test and flame test in another video by JerryRigEverything, in which the YouTuber put the smartphone through its paces. Even though the screen above it was severely broken, the device’s ultrasonic fingerprint reader, a novel technology introduced by Samsung, continued to function normally.
