24 sport modes. There are literally that many sports modes included with the Playfit Slim smartwatch. In addition to the battery’s 7-day claimed life and its low price of Rs 3,999, it is one of the most talked-about features of this smart device. But how much of this is actually true? In our assessment of the Playfit Slim smartwatch, let’s find out.

Playfit Slim review: Design
Despite its high price, the Playfit Slimsmartwatch has a sophisticated and expensive appearance. The smartwatch boasts an aluminium dial with a sturdy construction. The smartphone comes in Galaxy Black, Mystic Blue, and Black; the review unit we received was clothed in Black. The 1.28-inch circular IPS LCD display, which is bordered by minimal bezels and features a 2.5D cover plastic, dominates the Playfit Slim watch’s dial.
While the material protects the smartwatch in case it is dropped, it is fingerprint-prone. Speaking of the device’s display, it has a respectable level of clarity and brightness, and sunlight readability was also good. When we used the smartwatch outside of our home, we had no issues.
The watch’s silicone straps were generally comfortable to wear and didn’t irritate the skin in any way. Resuming our discussion of the dial, its right side houses the smartwatch’s Home button, which can be used to wake up the device, return to the previous screen, and, obviously, return to Home from any function. The heart rate sensor and the charging port are located on the dial’s rear.
Overall, we can conclude that even though the Playfit Slim is not very stunning, it does have a nice design and a decent appearance. Although we requested someone with a wider wrist to test it on because it was too big for our wrist, it didn’t look out of place. The smartwatch would be simple to wear to both a casual party and meetings at business.
Playfit Slim review: Performance
Let’s now discuss the functionality of the Playfit Slim smartwatch. The system uses real-time operating system (RTOS), which is essentially a leaner, more condensed version of the standard software. The same operating system is used by a number of other smartwatches in the same price range. The Playfit Slim can do a lot of things, including track your steps and sleep, check your heart rate and blood oxygen levels, and it has 24 different sports modes.
The last one is without a doubt one of its USPs, as a variety of sports, such as outdoor running, swimming, cycling, table tennis, skipping, badminton, tennis, walking, climbing, basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, cricket, rugby, hockey, spinning, dance, gymnastics, jumping jacks, boating, sit-ups, yoga, and indoor running, are supported by it. The smartwatch supports Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity.
Download the PlayFit app from the Google Play Store or the iOS App Store before completing the instructions below to link your smartwatch to your smartphone. We had no trouble configuring the watch, and anyone with even a little understanding of technology could do it on their own. You must always have your smartphone’s Bluetooth turned on in order to use this smartwatch. Once you’ve done this, the smartwatch’s menus will all be visible to you, and the app will also display your metrics. One can choose from a variety of watch faces to personalise the watch to suit their tastes.
With the exception of when we were driving, the device’s step tracking appeared to be accurate the majority of the time. However, as the majority of other smartwatches have the same issue, we don’t really view that as a disadvantage.
Although the heart rate and sleep tracking appeared to be accurate as well, there were occasions when they were absent from the app. First of all, we should point out that in order to measure your blood’s oxygen level, you must place an oxymeter on your ring finger or apply pressure to the top of the same finger for a few seconds. The good news is that the Oxymeter’s reading always matched that result, which is unquestionably a benefit.
We also experimented with Playfit Slim’s several sports settings, and we were pleased with how consistently it recorded our activities. This smartwatch is unquestionably for you if you enjoy sports or are a fitness enthusiast. It offers to track a wide variety of sports, and it does so well.
Last but not least, the smartwatch’s battery life, which the manufacturer claimed would last 7 days, actually does. Even though we just used it for 5 days, only 50% of the juice was gone, despite the fact that we didn’t use it for the full 7 days. So that probably could have lasted us seven days.
Pros
- Solid build and good design
- Lasting battery
Cons
- Could be more feature-rich
- Sleep and heart rate data doesn t reflect in the app at times
Verdict
Even if there are many smartwatches in the affordable range, Playfit Slim is for people who are really interested in sports and fitness but don’t want to spend a lot of money on their gadget. It boasts a sturdy construction, an average display, 24 sports modes, and a long-lasting battery. At Rs 3,999, it is a good purchase. However, you should also have a look at Amazefit in the same price range because it performed better than this one while costing less.
