Several technology professionals throughout the world dream of starting their careers with major corporations like Google, Microsoft, Apple, and Facebook as soon as they graduate from their respective institutions. Several students in India even spend years preparing before they are accepted into prominent institutions like the Indian Institute of Technology.
It is not the end of your goals, and you might still be able to find employment with one of these if you tried your hardest to pass IIT but were unsuccessful. You doubt our credibility? We’ll use Abdullah Khan as an illustration.
The 21-year-old engineering student from Mumbai has reportedly been employed by technology behemoth Google after the corporation discovered him on a hosting website for online programming challenges. He has reportedly been given a package worth Rs 1.2 crore by the search engine giant.
According to the reports, he receives a basic income of Rs 54.4 lakh annually along with a 15% bonus and stock options worth Rs 58.9 lakh over a four-year period as part of his six-figure compensation.
Khan is a student of LR Tiwari Engineering College who is in his final year of engineering. Google allegedly contacted him through email after noticing his performance on the platform.
After a couple rounds of online interviews, he was requested to appear for a screening at Google’s London office. I used to join because it was enjoyable, Khan remarked in a statement to a well-known newspaper. I had no idea that companies looked at the online profiles of programmers. My friend, who knew someone who had previously gotten such an email, was the one I showed the email to. I’m excited to be a part of their team. For me, it will be a fantastic learning opportunity.
Khan has been given a chance that is undoubtedly a dream come true. And thanks to his narrative, countless kids who failed to get into the IITs may be motivated to pursue their aspirations despite failing to graduate from a particular college. The only way to pass the hiring processes of major technological businesses is through colleges and universities, and if you don’t get into your favourite college, you won’t get the job of your dreams.
In the end, digital corporations like Google and Microsoft are seeking for talent and intelligence in prospective employees, and no degree can ensure admittance into these businesses.
