Turn your hotspot back on
Sometimes, after a prolonged period of inactivity, your iPhone will disable the hotspot by itself. Check Data Usage

Disable Low Data Mode

Go to Settings>Mobile Data>Mobile Data Options and choose your primary SIM card to turn off Low Data Mode. In the popup that appears, disable Low Data Mode.
Update iOS
If you’re still using an older version of iOS, you might want to update to the most recent version. Once a new iOS version is released, some problems are infamous for appearing on earlier ones.
