Any other feature of a user’s account, such as their friend list, snap scores, memories, etc., won’t be impacted by changing their username. The one restriction is that you can only change your username once a year. Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to modify your Snapchat username in 2022 that we have shared below.
Snapchat also points out that you can modify your username to one that has never been used by anybody else, even you. This suggests that you won’t be able to change your username back once you’ve done so. So, picking a username carefully is advised.

Step 1: Launch the Snapchat app on your device. Tap the Bitmoji (My Profile) symbol in the upper left corner of the interface, followed by the Settings icon in the top right.
Step 2: Select Username from My Account.
Step 3: Select “Change Username” from the menu.
Step 4: A pop-up notifies you that you are only permitted to alter your username once a year. Enter your new username in the box after clicking “Continue.”
Step 5: To validate your username change, enter your password and tap “Confirm.”
