Google just released an updated version of the Messages app that shows Android users’ responses from iPhone users as emojis. The update also enables iOS users to get high-resolution photos and videos from Android smartphones via Google Photos connections.
According to reports, Android handsets will be able to get the new Message app update in the next few days or weeks.
There are several issues with communication between Android and iPhone users. This is due to the fact that these chats use RCS, a modern, more secure industry standard used by Android that enables high-quality videos, emoji replies, end-to-end encryption, and other capabilities, in place of SMS, an antiquated messaging system that is still commonly used today. Google has made several changes to the Android and iPhone discussions in the most recent version to the Message app.
On your Android phone, responses from iPhone users are now shown as emojis, much like when you message an Android smartphone user. Future additions of additional languages will start with devices that solely support English.
Additionally, everyone can now watch your films in the same resolution as you do thanks to the integrations of Google Photos into Messages. Your videos’ clarity will be preserved if you transmit them as Google Photos links immediately from the discussion. Soon, you’ll also be able to post photos in this manner.
Additionally, by automatically classifying messages into Personal and Business categories, the revamped Messages app organises your message inbox. Your communications are automatically categorised into Personal and Business tabs in an organised inbox, allowing you to quickly find what you need at any moment. To further reduce clutter, you can arrange one-time password messages to be automatically deleted after 24 hours. The United States is now introducing this after it was first introduced in India.
Additionally, it reminds you to reply to unread messages and wish your loved ones a happy birthday. When you open Messages or start a conversation with someone, you’ll be kindly reminded whether you’ve saved their birthday in the contacts app on your device.
With the most recent update to the Message app, gentle nudges are now available to remind you to reply to conversations you may have missed or need to follow up on, making sure nothing important is missed. It will start with English speakers around the world.
